WE ARE ALL CITIZENS OF MOTHER EARTH
Love Yo Mama !
NOTE: Some dates are approximate, since they are based on complicated astrological or liturgical calculations, or the time when the new moon is actually sighted in certain areas. Different tribes, villages or groups may celebrate the same holiday on two or three different dates. There is also great variation in the number of days some events are celebrated. Some holidays combine ceremonies from more than one religion or culture. Also the phenomenon of the "International Dateline" can cause an event (even one based on an exact astronomical moment) to be celebrated on two different days in different locations.

The purpose of the One-World Global Calendar is to honor the many paths to the universal eternal source. People of all cultures and all eras have demonstrated an overwhelming need and desire to develop their spiritual nature and to invoke the divine presence into their lives. It is a common human attribute and it manifests in A typically human diversity of forms. All these forms are sacred and deserve acknowledgement and respect.

BE AWARE !
The majority of the cultural entries in the Global Calendar fall on a different day, and sometimes even a different month from the previous year. You can't just assume that an event will occur on the same date next year, or on any regularly repeating pattern.
Each year we meticulously calculate over two dozen different known lunar and luni-solar calendar systems. Then we project the appropriate festivals & events into each of these calendars. After double-checking, we enter each individual system (with its special days and their signifigance) into the western (Gregorian) calendar grids. The astronomical and astrological information is put in, as well as the special dates from fixed solar traditions. Researching and accumulating material since 1989, we strive to improve, refine and expand this information to bring you a better Global Calendar. Any contributions or corrections are appreciated; please indicate your source(s) if possible.

All have made significant and highly useful contributions to our databank which are much appreciated!

before e-mailing us with information requests.

Because:
You may find your time is more productively spent at our Calendar Related LINKS page [we have provided the URL's in the text body of the LINKS page so you can quickly download the text file and browse these links later at your leisure], or at Calendarland (see Links page), or doing a Net Search through your own browser.

But do beware, there are several calendar data sites on the Net with incorrect data, including one with a beautiful searchable interface, but much of the date information is incorrect---they simply are not doing the proper research. Whole lists of things like "Festivals of India" are there and correct for 1993 or some year other than the one we are in. These are among the pitfalls of this research. And amongst reasons why we choose to do THIS week, THIS month with the greatest possible accuracy, and not try to put out more information than we can do correctly right now.

If you have already done all of the above, and still have a question, we will attempt to provide an answer, if we can.
